Terms of use

1. Purpose

These terms govern access to and use of la101delleida.com ("the newspaper"), a digital local news outlet in Lleida. If you register, subscribe to the newsletter, comment, send a neighbourhood report or join the members' list, you accept these terms and the privacy policy.

2. Content

Articles are written with artificial intelligence from the sources cited and published after an automated check of figures, quotes and allegations. Not all of them are reviewed by a person beforehand. The newspaper cannot guarantee that it is entirely free of errors and applies a corrections policy: any reader can report an error from the contact page and the newsroom will review it. We explain this in How we verify.

3. Editorial line and pluralism

The newspaper exercises freedom of expression and information with its own editorial line: on the political right and rooted in Catholic values, defending the unity of Spain and putting Lleida first, with no organic link to any political party. Opinion is labelled as such and kept separate from news.

4. User accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for the accuracy of the data you provide. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms. You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to legal@la101delleida.com.

5. Comments and neighbourhood reports

Comments are published after pre-moderation. Insults, threats, third parties' personal data and illegal content are not allowed. Neighbourhood reports go to the newsroom, which verifies the facts before publishing anything; you choose whether your name appears if the report is published. Whoever sends a report is responsible for the truth of its contents.

6. Members and contributions

Nothing is charged at present: the members' list is a waiting list. Before any payment is activated we will publish the conditions here (price, renewal and cancellation), and you will be able to cancel at any time, with no minimum term.

7. Intellectual property

The content belongs to La 101 de Lleida, except for duly credited third-party photographs or data. Short quotations and links are allowed provided the source is visibly credited. Reproduction in full requires permission: redaccion@la101delleida.com. More details in the legal notice.

8. Liability

The newspaper is not responsible for the content of linked third-party sites or for decisions taken on the basis of the information published, which is provided for information purposes.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute shall be heard by the courts of Lleida, unless a different mandatory jurisdiction applies.
